Healthier drinks
We have been learning about healthy and unhealthy drinks using traffic lights. There were three piles: red, orange and green. After that conference it was amazing how much disgusting-ness like SALT and SUGAR was in all of those energy drinks and other additives.
Healthy food choices
In Te Ngahere we have been learning about different types of takeaways. SUSHI is your best choice of takeaway food even if you make it at home to add your own healthy ingredients. Another good one but more expensive would be “SUBWAY”. One that wouldn't be good at all would be “CARL'S JR”. One of the much more popular would be “MCDONALDS” Since then I think I have been making great decisions about takeaways.

SMOOTHIES
In Te Ngahere we have been learning about healthy foods with Whaea Gina. On Tuesday the 25th of September we made healthy smoothies. They were made up of milk, strawberries, banana, yogurt and then blended. I enjoyed watching Isaiah, AJ, Bella, Mihi and Ben make the smoothies for the class. We all tried it and we all loved it. With this information I will try to eat healthier foods and teach my nan and uncle how to use this recipe because
parent gaming
Tena koutou katoa. In Te Ngahere we have been learning about parent gaming issues and I hope your not thinking about parents playing games. But no - it's their kids and they are too addicted. They don't get up to eat, to go to the bathroom or even to talk to family members. This is non socializing. I feel like it's affecting a lot of parents and kids too. THANKS FOR READING.

gaming
In Te Ngahere our teachers were wanting to know how much time we spend gaming, and what games we play. They also wanted to know what types of games we play, and if the games we choose aren’t good. On Thursday we used an app called easel.ly to state how many people play these violent games and there is a lot!

IN AN INSTANT
In Te Ngahere we have been writing narratives. I think mine was the best. My one was about meeting myself in the future and it is really funny. Here is my story. This is still a draft though.
I was walking along the side of the road in Whangarei.. wait what..? what is that, ominous glow in the distance no it can't be, a car came flying down the road legitimately flywheels facing the ground blue lights out of every window. for some random reason it parked in our driveway must have stopped for gas well I hope so because I need answers I get home it looks at me from a distance and saw me it started running away “HEY” I called, it turned around and looked at me again he started to walk towards me I backed up just a little and then I saw it..it it was me but in an older form.. a few weeks ago I got a note in the mail to say I'M COMING in blue writing in a blue package wait.. blue.. the lights in the car windows were dark blue, his skin is dark blue and my favourite colour is dark blue. Could this be a warning for the future?!? I ran to him at the same time that he did up close he looked about thirty eight years old and he said “hi Julian it's Julian I need you to get me that note I sent you” “that was YOU oh wait, that was ME” I said, I ran home and grabbed the note I had kept it I a special box to remind me for anything that came around at first I thought it would be a band or something and everyone got one around town but now I guess not “hey here you..go umm” I said he was gone his car was still there but he was gone. TO BE CONTINUED…
I think I did well with my writing especially vocab. The one thing I don't think was so astonishing was the punctuation. A few sentences might be too long. We did this writing for a sample to set our goals from.
